Chocolate Primotalii Pepper Seeds – Extreme Superhot Chili Seeds

Grow one of the most intimidating chocolate superhots around with Chocolate Primotalii pepper seeds. This rare Capsicum chinense variety is known for deeply wrinkled, twisted pods that ripen from green to a rich dark chocolate-brown and deliver an exceptionally aggressive burn.

Chocolate Primotalii is generally described as an extremely hot pepper with heat well over 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Some growers and sellers estimate it near the upper end of the superhot range, but there is no widely accepted official laboratory rating for the variety. For that reason, we list it conservatively as 1,000,000+ SHU.

Flavor is often described as earthy, rich, slightly sweet, and smoky, although the intense heat arrives quickly and can overwhelm the flavor for inexperienced tasters. Chocolate Primotalii is a standout choice for serious pepper collectors, experienced growers, hot sauce makers, and anyone building a collection of superhot pepper seeds.

These peppers are especially well suited for:

  • Extreme-heat hot sauces
  • Pepper powders and flakes
  • Dehydrating
  • Rare pepper collections
  • Experienced superhot growers
  • Pepper breeding projects

Chocolate Primotalii plants can produce dramatic, heavily textured pods with plenty of variation in shape. Like many rare superhots, patience is important during germination and the long growing season.

⚠️ Use Caution: Always wear gloves and eye protection when handling. Not recommended for consumption without proper preparation and experience.

We germinate seeds in a controlled indoor setup with stable warmth, moisture, and airflow for consistent sprouting.

✅ Your chosen seed pack

How many seeds are included?

Most seed packs include 10+ seeds unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Some rare varieties may have a different seed count, so always check the selected option before ordering.

What is the difference between Open-Pollinated and Isolated seeds?

Open-Pollinated seeds come from plants grown where natural pollination from bees, wind, and other insects may occur. Although the parent plant matches the listed variety, accidental cross-pollination is possible.

Isolated seeds are produced using additional isolation methods designed to reduce unwanted cross-pollination and provide greater genetic reliability.

Will Open-Pollinated seeds grow true to type?

Most should closely resemble the parent variety, but we cannot guarantee complete genetic purity with open-pollinated seeds.

Occasional differences in pod shape, color, heat, flavor, foliage, or plant growth can occur.

Are Isolated seeds guaranteed to grow exactly like the parent plant?

Isolation greatly reduces the chance of unwanted crosses, but no living seed can be guaranteed to produce completely identical plants every time.

Natural genetic and environmental variation can still occur.

Do you test your seeds?

Yes. We test seed lots for viability before packaging and selling them.

How long do pepper seeds take to germinate?

Many pepper seeds germinate within 7–21 days, but superhot and rare varieties can take longer.

Some may require 30 days or more, especially if temperatures are too low or conditions fluctuate.

What temperature is best for germinating pepper seeds?

Pepper seeds generally perform best with consistent warmth. A soil or growing-medium temperature around 80–85°F is ideal for many hot and superhot varieties.

Why didn't all of my seeds germinate?

Seed germination is affected by several factors, including:

  • Temperature
  • Moisture
  • Growing medium
  • Seed depth
  • Airflow
  • Storage conditions
  • Seed-starting technique

Because these conditions vary from grower to grower, we cannot guarantee a specific germination percentage.

Can pepper plants look different from the photos?

Yes. Plant and pod appearance can vary depending on genetics, temperature, sunlight, nutrients, container size, stress, and other environmental conditions.

Open-pollinated varieties may also show occasional genetic variation.

Can I save seeds from the peppers I grow?

Yes. However, if you grow multiple pepper varieties near one another, future generations may cross unless flowers or plants are properly isolated.

Are pepper seeds returnable?

Due to the nature of seeds and the growing conditions involved after delivery, seed sales are final.

If you receive the wrong item or there is a problem with your order, contact us so we can review the issue.

Are superhot pepper seeds safe to handle?

The dry seeds themselves are generally much less irritating than mature pods, but mature superhot peppers can contain extremely high levels of capsaicin.

We strongly recommend wearing gloves when harvesting, cutting, processing, or handling superhot pepper pods.
